wilderness - A summer job

A little bit about us:
Want to work for one of the newest, most exciting companies in Alaska? Denali ATV is a local
family owned and operated ATV tour company located in the Denali National Park area in Alaska.
Our sales office and gift shop are in the heart of the Denali Canyon and our housing and tour
launch sites are in Healy, 10 miles north. We offer guided ATV tours from May 15 to September
15, operate everyday of the week, run tours from 9:00 am to 1:30 am (during the peak season) -
all while having tons of fun!

Here at Denali ATV, we take great pride in our employees! We are looking for people who are:

Outgoing - you will be around guests all day, every day.
Professional - clean and neat appearance.
Positive Attitude - always polite and courteous with customers and co-workers.
Safety and Good Judgment - you are responsible for our customers safety and good judgment
is key.
Team Player - Our group of employees are more like a family. For 4-5 months, we work, eat,       
sleep, and have fun together in very close quarters. You must be able to get along with your
co-workers.
Attendance and Work Ethic - we have a short and very busy summer season. All employees
must report to work on time, every time. There will be days that you are asked to work 10-12
hours a day, with overtime pay of course.
Honest and Trustworthy - Our employees are the face of our company. We need employees
that we can trust in our office, driving our buses, guiding ATV tours, working on our equipment,
and managing our staff.

Room and Board Info:
Denali ATV has the newest and most accommodating employee housing in the Denali area! Our
two story building has 13 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, free laundry, large kitchen with tons of
appliances, family room with TV, DVD, and DirectTV, free wireless internet, large covered deck,
outside darts, soda and energy drink machines, and more! The best part is it's located where
we launch our tour from so you don't have to walk or take a shuttle to work! We do have limited
couples housing available. Rates for our employee housing are around $75 per week.

Also, there are several cabin rentals available within 1 mile of our location if you would like your
own cabin. They are usually more expensive ($500-$600 per month) and do not include running
water, kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, internet, and TV.
Available positions:
Sales Agent - work in our tour sales office and gift shop in the heart of the Denali Canyon.
Hourly plus commission.

Adventure Guide - several duties including ATV tour guiding, ATV maintenance, and van
driving. Hourly plus tips.

Shuttle Driver - main responsibility is to shuttle guests to and from our launch sites. You will
be driving vans, 14 passenger buses, and 25 passenger buses (CDL required). Hourly plus
tips.

Mechanic - work in our garage mainly on ATVs and occasionally (maintenance issues) on
trucks, trailers, vans, and buses. Hourly pay.

Tour Manager/Asst. Manager - responsible for most day to day operations of Denali ATV.
This includes managing employees, tour operations, ATV tour guiding, ordering/inventory,
maintenance work on equipment, safety protocols, van/bus driving. Pay can be hourly or
weekly salary.

What to do for Fun:
Employees who complete the entire season and fulfill their contract are eligible for an
end-of-season bonus. Also, you will receive priority when we hire for following summer, first
pick at your housing, and other benefits.
You may receive complementary or discounted tours with many of the other local Denali area
activities - rafting, flight seeing, park tours, fly fishing, etc.
Denali ATV does not pay for transportation to and from the Denali/Healy area.  It is your
responsibility to get here, but we will help you plan your transportation as much as possible.
Our employees do receive a substantial discount on the Alaska Railroad and Motorcoach
buses to our area. We can arrange to pick you up at the train station or bus drop-off in the
Denali area.
If you get bored up here in Alaska, it's your problem! There are so many activities available to
you during your off time. Just to name a few: Rafting, kayaking, fishing, plane and helicopter
rides, bus trips into the national park, hiking, mountain biking... Get out and experience what
Denali and Alaska has to offer and why tourists pay thousands of dollars to visit!
